Our First Hay!

It has been a year of firsts around here.  The past week or so, it’s been making our own hay.  What a great sight to see that hay heading up into the barn!!

Hubby has been working hard to get all the equipment in working order.  He and The Boy even built the hay wagon themselves.

I think a mow full of newly baled hay is wonderful. The smell is incredible. You can see what you've accomplished. You can have peace of mind knowing your animals can eat all winter.

We got up hay about 2 weeks ago. We sell most of ours - just hang on to a few bales for the horses in the winter months.

Hay! We are doing the very same thing. Imagine that. It feels good when the barn is full of hay for the winter. Great Job!
